It works like Wordle: there is one puzzle a day, everyone plays the same one, and you have 8 guesses to name the hidden historical inventor or scientist. Every guess narrows it down — you learn how close you are on field, era, nationality and more, and unlock another clue about what the person is known for. No account, no ads, a new puzzle every day.

Do I need an account?

No. Eureka is free and needs no sign-up. Your streak and stats are stored only in your own browser.

How do the guesses work?

Each guess is compared with the answer on six traits — field, birth year, nationality, Nobel status, inventor vs. scientist, and gender — and unlocks one more line about what the person is known for.
